Who We Are

BFGFCU is a full service financial institution established in 1935 to serve the employees of the BF Goodrich Company. Since then, more than 300 companies throughout Northeastern Ohio have chosen BFGFCU as the credit union for their employees.

In January 2005, our membership charter was expanded so that all individuals who live, work, worship, volunteer, or attend school in Summit County, Ohio are eligible to join the credit union.

BFG Federal Credit Union is one of Ohio's largest credit unions with more than 27,000 members and over $180 million in assets. Our successful growth over the years is due, in large part, to the satisfaction and loyalty of our members.

As a non-profit financial institution, our sole purpose is to serve our members.
After setting aside reserves, credit union earnings are returned to our members in the form of:

  • Higher dividend rates on deposits
  • Lower interest rates on loans
  • Fewer fees
  • Technology driven delivery channels allowing 24/7 access to accounts
  • Personalized service

Our tradition of strength provides a safe place for our members to save their hard earned dollars. Monies deposited into accounts at the credit union are federally insured up to $100,000 by the National Credit Union Administration, an agency of the U.S. Government.
