A Better Digital Banking Experience is Coming!

We are excited to announce that BFG Federal Credit Union is upgrading online and in-branch systems on April 1, 2026. 

The BFG FCU Digital Banking Experience is an upgrade that means you will have a new online banking platform and mobile app.  While our digital experience is changing, we will be closed on April 1, 2026 to focus on the upgrade.  Beginning April 2, 2026, the BFG FCU staff will be ready to provide assistance with the new digital systems when our branches and call center re-open.

Monday, March 23, 2026

  • Last day to order debit cards with the best chance they will arrive before the digital upgrade.

If you know your debit card is lost or damaged, please notify us immediately so the old card can be deactivated and a new card issued. Debit cards CAN BE used during the upgrade.

 

Now until Tuesday, March 31, 2026 at 3pm

  • Branches open NORMAL BUSINESS HOURS.

 

Collect bill payment information to input into the new system. 

 

  1. Applications will go offline at 3pm on March 31, 2026.  Bill payment information will NOT transfer to the new system.  The current Bill Pay system is being retired.

 

  1. Gather recurring and other payment information scheduled for April 1, 2026 and beyond.  Bill payments scheduled on or after April 1, 2026 will NOT process.  You will be required to re-enroll and setup payees and payments on or after April 2, 2026.

Wednesday, April 1, 2026

  • Closed for System Conversion.  Branches, Drive-ups and our Call Center are CLOSED.
  • Online Banking and Bill Pay unavailable.

 

Use your debit card or credit card for purchases or visit an ATM for cash as usual.

Thursday, April 2, 2026

  • Normal Business Hours.
  • Online Banking, Mobile Banking and Bill Pay are available on the new system.

Please have your photo ID with you when you visit a branch.  We will be verifying your information is up to date in our new systems.

 

WHAT WILL NOT CHANGE

  • Current certificate and loan terms, as well as any payment due dates will remain the same. 
  • Checks, debit cards and credit cards will not need to be updated.
  • Debit and credit card numbers will remain the same including Debit Card Personal Identification Numbers (PINs).
  • Member account numbers will remain the same, so any direct deposits should not need to be updated.

DIGITAL BANKING GUIDE EFFECTIVE APRIL 2, 2026:

To log in for the first time please use the following:

>LOGON ID is your Primary Member Number.

  • Your Logon ID must contain at least 6 digits.
  • If your Member Number is less than 6 digits, you must enter with leading zeroes to make it 6 digits.

Example:
Member Number 98765 must be entered as 098765
Member Number 9876 must be entered as 009876

>SECURITY CODE (Password) is the last 4 digits of the Primary Account Holder’s SSN

Example:
4321

  • You will be prompted to change your Logon ID and Security Code
  • Once these are changed, you will use your NEW Logon ID and Security Code the next time you log on to Online Banking

 

FAQs

Q: Why is BFG Federal Credit Union making this change?
A: This system upgrade is an important technological advancement for the Credit Union and for you as we look forward to enhanced services and greater banking convenience. Upgrading to a newer technology provides us with a more efficient system today as well as the ability to improve into the future.  In the upcoming months, you will have access to several new products and services such as: Virtual Banking (a new online banking product), Zelle (a person-to-person payment option).

Q: When will the Credit Union be closed?
A: We will be CLOSED on Wednesday, April 1, 2026 for the conversion. We will be operating with normal business hours on Thursday, April 2, 2026.

Q: When will the changes take place?
A: We will upgrade to the new system Wednesday, April 1, 2026. Because of the complex nature of the transition, our branches, drive-ups and call center will be closed on Wednesday, April 1, 2026.

Q: Will I be able to access my money and/or accounts during the April 1, 2026 closure?
A: Yes, you can use your debit cards and credit cards as usual for purchases or withdraw cash at an ATM.

Q: Are accounts safe and secure? How safe is this transition?
A: Yes, accounts and personal information are secure. The safety and security of our members’ accounts and their personal information is always priority for BFG FCU. In addition, your funds are insured by the National Credit Union Administration per individual up to $250,000.

Q: Will my personal information be safe and secure?
A: Yes, we will continue to maintain the industry best practices and keep member security top of mind throughout the conversion. Member privacy and security are our priority during the transition.  For peace of mind, we encourage you to review statements before, during and after conversion to ensure accounts are as they should be.

Q: Will account numbers change?
A: No, account numbers will not change.

Q: Will Direct Deposit/ACH/Payroll Deductions be affected?
A: No.  Direct deposits will post during the upgrade.  Most direct deposits scheduled for April 1, 2026 will be available for withdraw on March 31, 2026.

Q: Will I need to order new checks?
A: No, the check information will remain the same.

Q: Will I be issued a new debit or credit card and PIN?
A: No, all debit and credit cards and their PINs will remain the same. Cards may be used throughout the transition without interruption. Do keep in mind, transactions may be delayed in posting to your account during the upgrade.  Large purchases could be denied and BFG FCU cannot adjust limits on April 1, 2026.  Please remember to balance your account prior to conversion and keep a register to avoid overdrafts.

Q: Will e-statements be transferred to the new system?
A: Yes, 18 months of E-statements will transfer to the new on-line banking system.

Q: Will Online Banking User IDs and passwords change?
A: Yes. To log in for the first time please use the following:

Q: Will Bill Pay be affected by the conversion?
A: Yes.  You will have to enroll in online banking, setup new payees and schedule payments.

Active Bill Payees and recurring payments will NOT transfer to the new Bill Pay platform.   The current system is being retired.  Payments scheduled after March 31, 2026 will NOT process

Gather payee information to enter into the new system on April 2, 2026.

Q: What should be expected prior to the conversion?
A: Converting to a new core technology will enable BFG FCU to operate more efficiently as well as provide members with new functionality and benefits.  In order to accomplish the upgrade, there will be some service interruptions: Online and Mobile Banking will be temporarily disabled on Tuesday, March 31, 2026 at 3pm thru April 1, 2026.  Additionally, keep in mind that we will be CLOSED on Wednesday, April 1, 2026 as we convert and implement our new upgraded systems.

Debit and credit cards may be used throughout the transition without interruption.  It is recommended to withdraw cash on or before March 31, 2026 or have access to alternate forms of payment such as credit cards, cash and checks during the days impacted by the conversion.
